I took my first steps on the Internet in May 2001. I started by just surfing from site to site looking for information. I'm a HUGE Harry Potter fan, so when I found a site that announced the opening of a virtual Hogwarts I decided to join. I was sorted into Hufflepuff and - once I found the way to our Common Room (special forum) - Holly Lawrence aka Eeyore aka Pat was the very first fellow Huff I met :) I can only speak for myself, but it felt good from day 1. We exchanged loooooooong emails with information about our lives and family and whenever I needed a shoulder, Pat was there. I call her my "life-jacket", she always knows exactly what to say to make me see things in perspective again. She's a true Huff, trustworthy, loyal and a very good friend. I was so glad that I could show her what wonders you can do with html - and although she was comprehensive at first - she learned very quickly and opened her own site. And what a site it is! I'm so happy to have both Pat and Amy with me online now :) Hufflepuff United *grin* Dear Pat, thank you for being such a wonderful friend, for your support when I need it, your humour whenever I can use a good laugh and the tissues when I'm sobbing. Please start making those holiday arrangements to visit Europe. I can't wait to meet you! Sending you love and hugs!
