It’s still early and not all final Dorothys have been chosen yet (the public could pick a ‘wildcard’, which will be announced in the first liveshow), but after seeing the auditions, our first reaction was: Stephanie! So, we’re rooting for Stephanie and we’re looking forward to Saturday’s show!
People outside the UK can’t watch BBC programs online (TG we get the BBC on our TV by cable), but many thanks to the BBC for putting the most important clips from the show on the website.
I’m curious to know who you’d vote for, so if you have time, go watch the clips and let me know who your favourite is. Stephanie sings in group 1 btw. The competition is strong this year!

It’s great (for me as a viewer) that the BBC and AVRO (one of the Dutch broadcasting networks) take turns in running these programs. I hardly ever watch TV, but programs like these manage to get me away from the computer.
Next Dutch show will start later this year. Auditions will be held this Spring. The search is for the lead in Zorro – according to the website: “Everyone with stage experience can apply.” They’re looking for a tough, sexy man, 20-35 years old with a Spanish temper, willpower, a good sense of humor, athletic, a powerful singing voice and last but not least a great acting talent. Oh boy, something tells me this will be great to watch too 🙂

Loads of videos at youtube with only music and pics, but I found this, which I think is a treat. Rehearsals of Zorro, with a visit and performance from The Gypsy Kings, who wrote the music.
Funny thing is that many Gypsy Kings songs have been hits over here (and many more countries, I guess), but mostly in Summer though. Which is probably why this music reminds me of Summer, late nights, clubbing, warm weather, and happiness 🙂
