Sparky's Scratches Real friends don't care if you're a little different…

What a day! I found out this morning that Sabine had been reading until 2 AM. The kid is 11 and loves her sleep more than anything. So I was angry, knowing that she would be grumpy all day. And when she’s grumpy, she’s grumpy!

We quarrelled a lot and she was talking to me in a disrespectful way, trying to see how far she could go. I was proud of myself for staying calm, that is… until 5.30 PM. She said things I just couldn’t accept, so I sent her to her room and told her to stay there and not bother coming down for dinner.

Of course she came down later, apologized and we’re friends again. That’s what always happens, so it wasn’t a surprise.

But when I went to check on her just now (she was sleeping btw), I noticed a handwritten note on her door, which apparently she put there after I sent her upstairs.

In bold letters the note said:
“DON’T COME IN UNLESS YOU HAVE FOOD, BECAUSE I’M ALMOST DEAD”.

ROFL – Kids, gotta love ’em 😀

Finally I had time to create a blue layout (Theme for September), I’m a happy camper, another layout done, yay!

As much as I hate Summer, I found myself working with tropical flowers tonight. I had a picture I wanted to use for a layout, and my muse cooperated. I guess the picture inspired me 🙂
It’s 3.30 AM, so I should be in bed, but I wanted to get it online first.
I will turn it into a QuickPage, but that’ll have to wait until tomorrow.

This picture of Manon (my 13 – going on 21 – year old daughter) is one of my favourites and I love the way the layout turned out!

I do wonder if there is anyone who reads but doesn’t post comments, I don’t mind as I do read some blogs but don’t comment as well. But it would be nice just to say hello, so I get to know who you are and visit your blog as well.
