The temperatures are rising, it was hot today and it will be even hotter tomorrow: 30C (86F), so I’m staying inside, where it’s relatively cool 🙂
While browsing through my fonts I discovered a nice one I hadn’t noticed before (you do overlook one if you have hundreds, lol) and it inspired me to a Summer WordArt – I decided to offer it here.
Feel free to snag it and please leave a comment if you do (link back to www.atsparkys.com if you use it online, so others know where to find it – thanks!)
Clicking the image will take you to a bigger png file, just right click to download that one 🙂
Cookie is the redhead, Muffin is her exploded sister 🙂
They are adorable, but I’m exhausted. I forgot how hyper kittens can be – lol.
We got them from the animal shelter, where they just got 17 (!!) kittens. Unable to resist their cute faces I had to adopt these two. The kids are over the moon and so am I.
When I first heard a song from the stage musical Lord of the Rings I was hooked! Lothlórien is such a wonderful song and different from what I ever heard. I visited the LOTR Musical website and found video-clips from the show with beautiful costumes and sets. Not long after that I saw a TV-documentary ‘The Making of LOTR’, and was amazed by what was asked of the actors. Not only do they act and sing, but they are acrobats and aerialists as well. Imagine what it is to sing while hanging in the air supported by nothing else but huge pieces of cloth. My mind was set, I had to see this show.
My SIL and I planned a trip to London this August, but we had to reschedule when we found out that LOTR will close on July 19th. I feel so lucky that I was able to buy tickets for July 10th! Can’t wait to see it on stage and hope that the experience is as breathtaking as I assume it is.
Our trip will be a relaxed one. We both visited London many times, so there’s no need for seeing the tourist attractions again. Bookshops are on the top of our lists, enjoying Starbucks, finding a spot on Trafalgar Square where we can sit and do some “people watching” 🙂 And of course visiting shows!
Thursday, July 10th it’s LOTR, Friday 11th: Joseph (I finally get to see Lee again!!), Saturday 12th: Spamalot, which is hilarious according to the reviews I read and heard. All in all a great list with maybe room for 1 more matinee 🙂
Leaving you with videos from my two favourite LOTR songs, till next time, stay healthy!
On Thursday May 29th our beloved JoJo passed away. According to the vet we made a brave and wise decision. It was so hard to see him suffer, and it would be selfish to not let him go… but it hurts so much now he’s gone.
I’ve been a good girl today… I cleaned! Nah not the house, who cares that it’s cluttered? :p I cleaned the computer!
Made a backup of my site and databases (yay); deleted and sorted files, added and arranged folders, then copied everything important from my harddrive to an external harddrive, defragged and looked back on those hours with a smile. Ah it feels good to have at least cleaned SOMEthing.
