Another update

AvatarTime goes fast, I’ve been away for quite some time.

How am I doing? So-and-so. Some days I feel great and don’t need painkillers to get through the day. Other days are just bad and I wish I could stay in bed, which – of course – is impossible if you have a job to go to and a family to take care of.

What did you miss? My 50th Birthday 🙂 Well, you didn’t miss much as I usually don’t celebrate Birthdays. Turning 50 wasn’t exactly something I was looking forward to. It sounds old and eventhough your real age is how you feel inside, the whole world notices the 50. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind growing old – gracefully (lol) – but at the same time the big 5 0 made me realize that I’m ‘over the hill’. I don’t expect to live to be 100, so the biggest part of my life is gone and what have I accomplished? After thinking long and hard I came to the conclusion that there’s enough to be proud of and once I’m ready to accept that, 50 won’t be that bad 🙂

Thanks to all the friends who sent Birthday wishes (by email and snailmail), I appreciate it very much! A big thank you to Caroline, who created this brand new layout as a Birthday gift. If there’s anything I love – apart from family and friends – it’s London. And it brightens my day when I open this page and see a feature from my favourite city of all. Thank you my friend – and also many thanks for all you did ‘behind the scenes’, if it wasn’t for you I would have closed my blog completely and then I’d have missed this wonderful layout *dikke knuf*

Don’t know when I’ll write again. I’m fully aware that gaps between posts isn’t the best way to attract visitors to my blog, but that’s the way it is. If you *do* visit, please leave a comment, it’s nice to see someone stopped by, eventhough I wasn’t home. There’s always fresh coffee/tea and you can help yourself from the cookie jar!

Till next time! Stay healthy!

I always think that our mental state of mind is the indicator of aging… meaning that we probably just left ‘De kleuterschool’ ~smile~. And.. you are so right… we have so much to look forward to!

Hope you’re weekend is great… mine will be for sure as ‘De kok is weer thuis’ ~smile~.
