Pimping my Zazzle shop π

Curious – as fellow artists spoke highly of the paper and printing quality – I ordered several of my Christmas Cards at my Greeting Cards Shop and could hardly wait for the package to arrive. It took 9 days and it was worth every second. They are GORGEOUS, even if I say so myself, lol!
Nine days is not too bad, considering the distance between the US and The Netherlands, but I have to remember that when I order more cards closer to Christmas.
I wonΒ΄t go into the creative part, as I’m biased, but the quality of the paper is wonderful. No floppy cheap printed cards, but firm glossy paper which added to my designs – I am truly impressed.
So… those of you on my Christmas Card list can look forward to a Sparky original this year π

While working on a Digital Scrapbooking layout, I was searching the net for a quote about nature or snow, but couldn’t find anything that really captured the meaning I was looking for.
Then I woke up the grey cells and started thinking about how I felt when I walked into freshly fallen snow – which is heaven to me by the way. The tranquility, the silence, everything enwrapped by those tiny flakes floating gracefully from above, turning the ugly grey world all beautiful and radiant.
Yep, I get carried away when it comes to snow π
Then I wrote, without thinking:
When snow falls, nature listens
Because that’s what happens you know – everything else keeps shut and is focused on the falling snow. I thought it was so appropriate.
As I look back on that layout, which was one of my very first DS layouts, I’m not completely pleased with it, so I made a new layout using my quote with my graphics and here it is:
After a while I sent the quote to my favorite Quote-website: The Quote Garden, and I’m thrilled to see my name there, together with famous people like Dickens and Shakespeare π I may never be a famous author, but darn I made it to the Quote Garden π
Since then I found the quote on different sites, thankfully all people had the decency to credit me for it.
So I’m a happy camper… now all I need is snow!

Still on sick leave. Short version for new visitors: Broke my fibula on March 9th and was diagnosed with Post Traumatic Dystrophy when they took the cast off.
Good news is that the good days seem to appear more frequent now. Bad days are still a majority though. Physiotherapy hurts like &^%$, but I bite my teeth, knowing it is necessary to get my ankle working as it should again.
Spoke to a surgeon – not in a medical, but in a personal conversation – and although he couldn’t be sure as he never saw the x-rays, he advized me to go for a second opinion. The pain I have can’t possibly be solely from the Dystrophy, it must have something to do with the bones.
Made an appointment, will keep you posted once I know more.
