I can’t believe it’s true… I hope it’s true and wish it’ll come true but… it’s only a weather forecast, so anything can happen! This morning when I picked up the newspaper, the first thing I saw was a huge headline saying: For the first time since 1982 we will be hunting for easter eggs in snow! Gosh… if only…
If all goes well (and lets hope the weather people are right for once!) it will start snowing Friday night. More hail and snow expected on Saturday, Sunday and maybe even Monday (Boxing Day). Of course there will be less snow near the coast, where I live, but they still think there will be 4 inches – which is enormous for this part of the country.
Finally an opportunity to take pics of the kids with a snowy background. Finally a chance to choose pics and complete my (long awaiting) unfinished paper scrapbooking projects.
Oh… if only… I soooo hope it’s true!!! Send cold vibes my way please 🙂

Time goes fast, I’ve been away for quite some time.
How am I doing? So-and-so. Some days I feel great and don’t need painkillers to get through the day. Other days are just bad and I wish I could stay in bed, which – of course – is impossible if you have a job to go to and a family to take care of.
What did you miss? My 50th Birthday 🙂 Well, you didn’t miss much as I usually don’t celebrate Birthdays. Turning 50 wasn’t exactly something I was looking forward to. It sounds old and eventhough your real age is how you feel inside, the whole world notices the 50. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind growing old – gracefully (lol) – but at the same time the big 5 0 made me realize that I’m ‘over the hill’. I don’t expect to live to be 100, so the biggest part of my life is gone and what have I accomplished? After thinking long and hard I came to the conclusion that there’s enough to be proud of and once I’m ready to accept that, 50 won’t be that bad 🙂
Thanks to all the friends who sent Birthday wishes (by email and snailmail), I appreciate it very much! A big thank you to Caroline, who created this brand new layout as a Birthday gift. If there’s anything I love – apart from family and friends – it’s London. And it brightens my day when I open this page and see a feature from my favourite city of all. Thank you my friend – and also many thanks for all you did ‘behind the scenes’, if it wasn’t for you I would have closed my blog completely and then I’d have missed this wonderful layout *dikke knuf*
Don’t know when I’ll write again. I’m fully aware that gaps between posts isn’t the best way to attract visitors to my blog, but that’s the way it is. If you *do* visit, please leave a comment, it’s nice to see someone stopped by, eventhough I wasn’t home. There’s always fresh coffee/tea and you can help yourself from the cookie jar!
Till next time! Stay healthy!

Thanks to my accident, I’m seeing a chiropractor now and going to Physio-fitness classes. Had to cut my office days to 6 hours a day because sitting at the computer (something you obviously do when you work at a newspaper) is causing too much pain. Therefor I had to limit my online time to one hour a day, on my days off. This doesn’t leave me much time to do anything but check my mail and visit either a blog or a forum.
Although my head is full of creative ideas, I just can’t sit here long enough to draw graphics. If I want to recover fully, I have to listen to the dr and avoid sitting at the computer for too long.
Sorry all! You just have to be patient, like me (a virtue not known to me, unfortunately!)
The good news is that I purchased PSP X2 and I love it to bits. I hope to surprise you, once I get back to drawing again 🙂
Take care and stay healthy!
