In honor of Harry Potter month, I’m working on Digital Scrapbooking kits, related to the four Houses and Hogwarts itself. I’m almost done, just need to finish a few embellishments and then the sets will be available.
I found a picture of Manon, dressed up as Harry Potter for her school Carnival back in 2003. I am a Potter nut, but don’t have many HP-related pictures I can scrap, this one is perfect though 🙂
The broom in the kit is made by Caroline, as I couldn’t find a decent tube and was too lazy to draw it myself . The broom won’t be available in the free kits. Wand, wizard hat and Golden Snitch are tubes from a great tubesite KandyKisses, but the link I have is dead. I’ve searched online but I can’t find it, if you know a new url for KandyKisses, please let me know!

I’m thinking about the movie all day – there must have been things I’ve missed, so I’ll go see it again soon.
I’ve checked for reviews online and opinions vary – as always. Some think it’s brilliant, the best HP movie so far. Others – like me – think too much information, important to the storyline, is left out. It still is a great movie, definitely worth seeing, but if you know nothing about HP and his history it might be confusing.

Let me start by saying that the opening night was a magical experience! The setting was wonderful, we had to walk through the woods to the open air theatre where we were welcomed with drinks and snacks. For the kids (although the movie is rated 12+ here) there were tables stacked with candy. Towers of chocolate cookies, buildings made of tea biscuits, chandeliers draped with liquorice strings and lots more. Many people were dressed as wizards, we even saw someone who resembled Dumbledore.
The auditorium had benches, and there were goodies for everyone. A HP cushion to sit on (sore butt after app. 2,5 hours!), a blanket to keep us warm and a plastic raincoat in a HP bag in case it would rain. They did put a 30 mtrs wide ‘umbrella’ over the seats, but the weather was perfect! Everyone got a small basket with buns and pesto and a bottle of water, as there was no intermission.
For those of you who want to see the movie without knowing any details: stop reading now!

WHOOT! I won two tickets to the official Dutch opening night of OotP!
Dear Antoinette,
Warner Bros. Pictures welcomes you to the official Dutch premiere of Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix.
Tuesday 10th July 2007, on a special location: Open Air Theatre Caprera in Bloemendaal at 8 PM.
Movie starts: between 9.30 and 10 PM (depending on darkness)
Preceding the movie we’d like to invite you for a “bite and a drink”.
Dresscode: Magical
Because of the illegal taping of movies, we ask you to leave your mobile phone – and any other electrical equipment – in the hands of our security people. They will guard it and return it to you after the movie. We hope you understand.
Kind regards,
Warner Bros. Pictures International Holland Team
So…… I have to cancel my midnight movie-theatre tickets and hope it won’t rain!

For those interested, Lee’s offical website is up and running. I just love the pics from Lee as a kid *grin*
Official Lee Mead website.
The fanlisting [edit 2012: no longer online]Â has 170 members now. Lots of people joined when the link to the fanlisting was up at Lee’s Wikipedia entry. But someone deleted that (Wikipedia: no links to fansites are allowed) so I have to find a way to get more publicity.
On a happier note, the fl shows up as the 8th link when I Google for Lee Mead. I know Google has different outcomes, depending from which country you are, so I’m not sure where the fl ends up for the majority of fans. Now that his official site is up, the fl will probably drop at least 1 place though.
Yesterday was the first preview of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Adelphi Theatre in London and – according to a friend of Lee – “he had a blast!” I’m happy for him and I just know he’ll be a HUGE success.

The chef is away, so I picked an oldie 🙂
Appetizer
When you travel, which mode of transportation do you prefer?
* I hate to travel, so I prefer to get to my destination as fast as possible. Eventhough I’m terrified of flying, I always get on a plane when going overseas. Advantage of living in Europe is that many destinations are in driving distance. From where I live (near The Hague) Paris is a 7 hours drive, Belgium about 2 and Germany about 3 hours. Spain and France take a little bit more, but can be done in a day.
The actual flight to London is 45 min. I spend more time travelling to Schiphol, checking in, collecting suitcases at the other end and travelling from Heathrow to Central London than on the plane! Still…. 45 min. is LONG when you’re scared stiff :p
Soup
Have you ever met a blogging friend in person?
* Yes, I met 4 online friends (from Puerto Rico, Spain, Hungary and Belgium). We booked a holiday in London together and had a blast!
Salad
When was the last time you were really, really tired?
* I’m always tired. Can only blame myself – too many late nights at the computer.
Main Course
If you could have dinner with any one fictional character from a book or movie, who would it be?
* Harry Potter, without a doubt, I’d love to learn some spells. Life would be so much easier!
Dessert
Fill in the blank: One day, I hope to see _______________.
* Broadway
